Entering the current growing season, our platform enables precise tracking of the Heat Stress Index.
The algorithm uses a Stress Threshold and acts as an early-warning system. The Recovery Ratio is especially critical: it shows that if the plant receives mild temperature stress, it can fully recover within an equal period, keeping its normal function with no growth losses. With the VPD index we track the conditions for optimal photosynthesis.
Preventive crop protection
Through the platform, Gikas Farms monitors 20+ diseases and pests. The forecasting capability allows treatment only when there is real risk, cutting pesticide costs and boosting environmental sustainability.
The next step: precision irrigation
With systematic irrigation starting, Gikas Farms moves to the next level: precision irrigation.
