How do the Agrivate weather station and soil sensors work?

The ultrasonic AG-MCS-1 weather station measures temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, rainfall, wind, solar light and UV. The soil sensors — single-probe or multidepth — record moisture every 70 seconds down to 80 cm, while the leaf wetness sensor monitors conditions for disease development. All data is transmitted wirelessly and appears in the Agrivate platform with clear irrigation recommendations.

Are the devices wireless and how far does the signal reach?

Yes — the whole system is wireless and solar-powered, so no cables or network are needed in the field. Data is sent over LoRa, a low-power network with a range of up to 5 km in open areas, to the Agrivate platform. Everything is then available in the app, from anywhere.

Agrivate is used in olive groves, vineyards, nut orchards (hazelnuts, almonds), citrus and stone fruit, as well as any crop where water and weather drive production.
